Synapse Learning

When children experience their environment using all of their senses, physicality, experimentation, language and imagination, they learn at a deep level. This kind of learning – called Synapse Learning – has been harnessed and developed by Synapse Education Ltd.

Technology can provide an abundance of abstract information but it must be balanced with the human experience; Synapse software provides this balance. Our software motivates teachers and children to move from animated on-screen activities to hands-on activities. We balance technology with the experience of being human.

When a child finds a shell on a beach she picks it up and tastes it. She holds it to her ear and shakes it. She smells it, digs with it, shows it to her brother, tosses into the air and tests its strength against the rocks. She checks out its contents, tipping them out onto the sand. She tells Mum about what she’s found. It becomes the window on her sandcastle.

The child’s way of understanding the nature of the shell is innate. She naturally brings this experiential approach to her understanding of the world. She learns the science of the shell through her senses, through discovery, through dialogue and imagination.

With the Synapse learning approach, all children can be successful.
